On Wednesday August 5th, Engine Co. 38 and Engine Co. 2 were dispatched to Garfield and Arctic Ave. for a reported porch fire. Upon arrival members found the remnants of a chair that had been on the second floor porch on the sidewalk smoldering. Members opened up the second floor porch area to check for extension finding none. The fire was contained to the area of origin. The fire was investigated by the WFD and CMC Fire Marshal's Office and determined to be accidental. |
