D Platoon Makes Quick Work of Magnolia Ave. Dwelling Fire

| On March 12, 2016 at approximately 12:25 Engine Co. 38 and Engine 2 were dispatched to the area of 200 W. Glenwood Ave. for reported smoke. The incident was updated enroute to the 200 W. block of Magnolia Ave. for a structure fire. The box alarm assignment was filled out. Upon arrival units found fire involving the second floor porch of a dwelling. Engine Co. 38 quickly stretched a 1-3/4" hoseline and extinguished the fire. Box alarm companies assisted with ventilation and overhaul. Units operated on scene for approximately one hour. No injuries were reported during the fire. |
