On Wednesday August 19, 2015 Engine Co. 38 was dispatched along with the West Wildwood FD to 648 W. Maple Ave. for a reported structure fire.  Engine Co. 38, under the command of Captain Ernie Troiano, arrived first due and found a large shed in the rear of a 1 story dwelling heavily involved in fire.  The fire was extending to the dwelling and the rear deck.  Engine Co. 38 established a water supply and quickly stretched a 1-3/4" hoseline and knocked down the main body of fire in short order.  West Wildwood Engine 21 arrived on scene and assisted Engine Co. 38 with final extinguishment and overhaul.  The exposure dwelling was saved but did sustain heat damage.  There were no injuries reported.  Engine Co. 38 operated on scene for about one hour prior to taking up.  The fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal's Office
