Engine Co. 38 and Rescue Co. 3 Respond on North Wildwood Dwelling Fire June 16, 2015 |

At approximately 01:25 hours on June 24th Engine Co. 38 was dispatched on the North Wildwood Box Alarm to the 200 W. Block of 3rd Ave. for a reported dwelling fire. Engine 2 arrived on scene and reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the first floor D side of a 2 story single family dwelling with exposure problems. F-200 arrived on scene and requested the second alarm bringing Rescue Co. 3 on the assignment. Engine Co. 38 arrived second due and established the water supply for Engine 2. Engine Co. 38's crew then stretched a 1-3/4" hoseline to the first floor and assisted with fire extinguishment. The fire was quickly knocked down minimizing damage to the D exposure. Rescue Co. 3 arrived and initially assumed RIT duties and eventually was assigned to overhaul duties. Wildwood FD units operated on scene for about 1-1/2 hours before taking up. |
