RV Fire |
On Tuesday July 31, 2012 at approximately 21:48 hours Engine 38 was dispatched to Wildwood and Hudson Ave. for a reported RV fire. Upon arrival Capt. Speigel (C-1) found a 22' RV/trailer fully involved in fire. The fire was exposing a 2-1/2 story dwelling. Capt. Speigel had dispatch fill out the box assignment. Engine 38 quickly established a water supply and stretched a line on the fire. Members simultaneously enteted the exposed dwelling. The heat from the fire had already blown out several windows of the dwelling. Crews found a moderate smoke condition in the dwelling. They conducted a search and found all occupants had exited the dwelling. However, members were able to locate and remove a dog from the dwelling. The fire was extinguished and what was left of the RV/trailer was overhauled. The dwelling on the opposite side of the street suffered severe heat damage to the vinyl siding. A boat on that side of the street also sustained heat damage. Engine 38 and Engine 2 operated on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours before taking up. | ||
