Wildwood Ave. & Hudson Ave.
July 31, 2012

On Tuesday July 31, 2012 at approximately 21:48 hours Engine 38 was dispatched to Wildwood and Hudson Ave. for a reported RV fire.  Upon arrival Capt. Speigel (C-1) found a 22' RV/trailer fully involved in fire.  The fire was exposing a 2-1/2 story dwelling.  Capt. Speigel had dispatch fill out the box assignment.  Engine 38 quickly established a water supply and stretched a line on the fire.  Members simultaneously enteted the exposed dwelling.  The heat from the fire had already blown out  several windows of the dwelling.  Crews found a moderate smoke condition in the dwelling.  They conducted a search and found all occupants had exited the dwelling.  However, members were able to locate and remove a dog from the dwelling.  The fire was extinguished and what was left of the RV/trailer was overhauled.  The dwelling on the opposite side of the street suffered severe heat damage to the vinyl siding.  A boat on that side of the street also sustained heat damage.  Engine 38 and Engine 2 operated on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours before taking up.
