Wildwood FMBA Local 50

C Platoon continues to keep busy in 2012. Just after 21:30 hours on February 22, 2012 Engine 38 was dispatched to 3302 Hudson Ave. for the report of a fire. NWFD Engine 2 was also dispatched. Upon arrival Engine 38 reported a rubbish fire extending to a dwelling. Capt. Speigel (C-1) advised dispatch to fill the box assignment and that Engine 38 was stretching on a dwelling. Crews put a quick knock on the exterior fire. Fire did extend into the wall cavity which was quickly opened up and knocked down. A primary search proved negative and the property was found to be vacant. The assignment was held with Engine 38 and Engine 2. Box alarm companies were held in quarters. The Cape May County Fire Marshal and Wildwood Police Detective Division were called to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. Engine 38 took up after approximately 1 hour and as they were clearing were dispatched on a MVC.
