ENGINE 38 RESPONDS TO NORTH WILDWOOD FOR ROPE RESCUE
On January 11, 2012 shortly after 13:00 hours Engine 38 was requested to respond to assist Engine 2 at the scene of an injured construction worker in the 200 West block of 17th Ave.  Upon arrival Engine 38 was briefed by Command F-200 Chief Cole that they had an injured worker on the third floor of a dwelling under construction.  The worker had fallen from the roof to the deck.  Engine 38 with the assistance of Engine 2 packaged the victim in the stokes basket for removal from the upper floor as there were no railings or other safeguards in place on the exterior stairway.  They set up a lowering system and safely lowered the victim to the ground with FF Matt Johnson as the attendant.  The patient was transported to the hospital by NWFD.  Nice job C Platoon!  Pictures from the Cape May County Herald.
